FAQ
What is the Indigenous Knowledge Network (IKN) for?
The IKN is a comprehensive resource hub with curated lists of courses, languages, communities, and voices pertinent to Indigenous peoples. By aggregating these resources in one accessible platform, we look to bridge the gap in educational accessibility and cultural preservation.
What can the IKN help me with?
Our IKN platform provides educational opportunities for Indigenous languages, arts, and culture from various Canadian colleges and universities, including free, paid, and government-funded options. You will also find cultural knowledge—specifically about the languages of Indigenous communities. Lastly, as a source of inspiration for the community, the Indigenous Voices section features influential people’s profiles, success stories, and TED talks.
Is IKN free to use?
Yes, IKN is free to use. We aim to make knowledge and information accessible to
everyone.
Can I contribute content to IKN?
Yes, we welcome contributions from our community. If you’re interested in submitting articles or resources, please visit our “Contact Us” page, select the subject “Content Contribution,” and submit your message; we’ll reach out to you via email.
